Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRotimi Taiwo (Ph.D.) is a Professor of English and New Media Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He was a post-doctoral fellow at University of Freiburg, Germany (September, 2008 - August, 2009). His research focus has been on the application of (critical) discourse analytic and text-linguistic theories to a wide range of discourse, such as those of the media, religion, politics, and popular culture and of recent, the Internet and telecommunications. He has authored and edited a number of books. Among them are Handbook of Research on Discourse Behavior and Digital Communication: Language Structures and Social Interaction Volumes I & II (IGI Global, New York, 2010), Language and Mobile Telecommunication in Nigeria: SMS as a Digital Age, Lingual-cultural Expression (Obafemi Awolowo University Press, Ile-Ife, Nigeria), Computer Mediated Discourse in Africa (Nova Science Publishers, New York, 2012), The Discourse of Digital Civic Engagement: Perspectives from the Developing World (Nova Science Publishers, New York, 2016).
