Overview

This book bridges the gap between study and practice when working with children, young people and families. It takes key theories and concepts introduced in 'Social Work with Children And Families' and explores them in further detail, looking at how social work skill has developed and can be applied to practice. It covers important areas such as intervention, engagement and communication, while looking at such key skills as Life Story work and childhood observation. The book will be an essential part of any social work student's library who wishes to specialise in work with children and families.
