The book might well be titled: How To Be In The World. It is full of recommendations to overcome social anxiety, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to learn to watch one's thoughts to more down-to-earth suggestions like learning to read social cues. Peppered with quotes and anecdotes, it's a how-to manual for living. A kind book that would be useful for those with or without social anxiety. The book was easy to read and well organized as to how one should go about in building a better self. Without social skills an individual does not go very far in life, be it personally or professionally. This book affirms the importance of developing such so as to maximize one's direction in life. It is known that people are attracted to confident, positive people. By grooming one's self to be proactive in social settings and subtly lead the way in conversations, events, especially workplace environments, a better life one will eventually lead. Go for it!
