A television scriptwriting award and a children's Bicentennial play placed in the National Archives join past freelance newspaper book reviews and rare book cataloging. She originated and was the first Administrative Director of the Rice University Publishing Program. Later, she worked for New York publishers in regional book promotion, and spearheaded a line of children's bookmarks. Hospice-related, she produced a hands-on training video for caregivers, and has been both a professional and volunteer member of a hospice team and of ADEC.
