Meet Tommy Tacklebarry, founder and team leader of The Sneable Sports 5! The Sneable Sports 5 are five friends who come from all over America and joined together as co-founders to create a special organization to share their own unique experiences. Helping kids is what they love to do! Tommy Tacklebarry is the first book in this engaging series featuring talented athletes who are determined to help children navigate any challenges they may face in life. Many types of sports, especially football, have always been easy for Tommy, but sitting still, staying quiet and focused when he was in the classroom was a challenge for him. His football coach, Mr. Bevel and his Teacher Mrs. Angleton, help Tommy learn to use his voice in a positive way and to understand how he learns best in the classroom. With their inspiration, Tommy decided he wants to help others, so he formed the Sneable Sports 5 team with four of his friends. Their goal is to help children through any challenges they may face in life with education, counseling and other various programs. The Sneables all share a desire to help kids just like YOU excel in whatever you do! She is really looking forward to reading more about Samantha Goalkicker, since she plays soccer. We enjoyed discussing how the characters were relatable to her and other children in her class. It opened up some nice conversations with her. It is important to understand that not all children learn the same way and this book acknowledges that. The character is relatable, having success outside of the classroom, but struggling to learn in class. The book promotes a positive, inclusive classroom and self-confidence. It was easy to read and I think children will learn the valuable message that this book teaches.

Author Information

Jennifer K. Rosen lives in Fort Myers, FL with her loving husband Jay, a well-respected Optometrist, their daughter Nicole, who has a Bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing, and their two dogs. They all love animals, so there will always be a pet in the Rosen home. Jennifer has a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked for several years as a teacher in both private preschools and public elementary schools, teaching a wide range of ages from 3-month-old infants to 11-year-old preteens. Jennifer grew up in Osceola Mills, a small town in central PA. She is the youngest of three children, her sister Terri who teaches special needs children in public schools and her brother Ted, who was a dreamer and a published author before his untimely passing. Jennifer's mother was a teacher and a talented writer and poet. Her father is a small business owner and an engaging public speaker. Her family influenced her path towards writing, teaching and creative expression. Along with spending time with family and friends, Jennifer loves to travel, visit art and natural history museums and experience the beauty and serenity she finds in witnessing nature and animals. She hopes her stories inspire positivity, kindness and compassion in both children and adults. I was born and raised in Albany, NY with my sibling's, I have an Identical twin brother, and my older brother and sister are twins also. Can you guess who has the gift of creativity? yeah, it's me. I'm a big kid at heart and have always loved cartoons. Thanks to Jennifer Rosen my Life's work is now being presented in a children's book series.
