Jasmin Rivera is a native New Yorker born and raised in the South Bronx. A graduate of the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Professor Rivera received her Masters degree in 2012, concentrating in Human Rights within the Caribbean and Latin America. Her poetry and art are inspired by her community, scholarship and urban life experiences.
