OverviewWhen investigative journalist Taeng Skeete uncovers a Chinese plot to overthrow the government of Barbados, she paints a target on her back. When the boat she is on explodes at sea she is presumed dead, but she survives and washes up on a private island belonging to Cody Morgan, a reclusive engineering savant with a colorful past. Cody couldn't care less about politics, but Taeng's story, and the fact that Taeng isn't hard on the eyes, lights a fire in Cody and he decides to get involved and to bring his resources and connections to the party. One thing leads to another and in between boat chases in an old torpedo boat, covert flights in an old Japanese reconnaissance plane, and organizing the response to the planned Chinese coup, there is still time left over for some serious flirting between Taeng and Cody. Who said that foiling coups had to be all work and no play? From the time Taeng washes up on Cody's island, every move seems designed to drive them closer to final showdown with Taeng's nemesis and inadvertently, to each other.
