Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJun Fu is Professor of Polymer Science in the Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering (CIBE) and Polymers & Composites Division, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He obtained his PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Physics in 2005 from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS, and moved to Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. In 2007, he became a Research Fellow in Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Since 2010, he took his current position and established the Biomedical Polymer Group at NIMTE, CAS. He was appointed the founding member of the CIBE/NIMTE, CAS) in 2014. His research has focused on high performance and functional polymer materials for applications in tissue replacement, repair, and regeneration, soft actuators, and sensors. He is a member of Materials Research Society, Chinese Chemical Society, and Chinese Materials Research Society. Zi Liang Wu is an Associate Professor of Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. He obtained his PhD in 2010 from Hokkaido University under the supervision of Professor Jian Ping Gong. Then, he became a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto and Institut Curie. He joined Zhejiang University in 2013 as an Assistant Professor and became an Associate Professor in 2015. His research focuses on the designing of biomimetic and functional soft materials, especially hydrogels with ordered structures, novel functions, controllable heterogeneous structures, and programmed deformations.
