OverviewSmall Towns and Mountain Views offers a voice and perspectives in prose and poetry from Mizoram in Northeast India. While the writing is largely subjective and personal, nuances of cultural life and society are deeply ingrained, as are slices of Mizo history in the reminiscences and evocations of childhood strongly intertwined with trauma and displacement. Also interspersed with these are residues from the writer's 40 year career teaching English at college.
