Reviews

Whitney is the queen of seemingly effortless, bohemian, California cool style. She is a master at maximizing spaces, amplifying style and pulling in the key pieces that make a house a home--no matter how big or small.Whitney and the Tiny Canal Cottage lifestyle will inspire you to embrace the little joys in life, fall in love with your space while not feeling intimidated by the process. -- Jaclyn R Johnson: Founder & CEO of Create & Cultivate, Author of Work Party Whitney has an incredible design sensibility. Visiting her home is akin to visiting a botanical garden: it is at once carefree but carefully curated, there is an abundance of beauty in every tiny detail, but the overall design (the flow, the scale, the colors, the rhythms) are so on point they seem borderline scientific. But beyond her envious eye for design and brain for puzzle-like small-space solutions, it's Whitney's heart that will draw you to her. Her optimism, humility and good vibes are seriously infectious. -- Justina Blakeney Designer, Author of The New Bohemians and founder of Jungalow. Before visiting the Cottage I had always assumed small spaces to be cluttered or coldly minimalistic. Whitney's eye for detail and her spirit of beauty creates a space that fills the visitor with warmth and welcome. I am deeply envious of her ability to curate aesthetically and tactically satisfying environments. I have tried to emulate this but trust me it is a rare talent. She is a rare talent. -- AMY ADAMS, Academy Award-nominated actor
