OverviewEveryone has a system for beating the casinos. A few are based on sound mathematical principles and can yield profits if applied properly by a skilled practitioner. But most are based on superstition and faulty logic--especially when it comes to taking on the one-armed bandits. Slot Machines: Truth & Myth pulls no punches in explaining how the casinos deftly blend psychology, art, and science to create gambling's most efficient profit generators. Author Olaf Vancura is a Harvard Smithsonian astrophysicist who's (literally) applied rocket science to creating some of the world's most popular gaming machines. Now he tells you how he did it and what you can do to maximize your results in play.
