He received his BA in Theatre from Morehead State University and attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. In 2013, the Governor of Kentucky commissioned him a Kentucky Colonel, the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth. He is the co-founder of The Gusto Theatre Company, where he has directed original productions and adaptations of the classics for over 20 years.
