An expert on sleep, sleep disorders, and circadian rhythms of activity-rest in persons who have heart disease, she has published numerous data-based, theoretical, and clinical papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Redeker has obtained research funding from a variety of sources, including the NIH and the American Nurses Foundation, and is currently directing a study of sleep and functional performance in heart failure, funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research.
