Author Information

Anna Urosevic Applegate is a first-generation Serbian American priestess and polytheist who brings decades of devotional practice to her exploration of Slavic traditions. A certified death midwife and founder of the Fellowship of Isis-chartered Iseum of the Rekhet Akhu, her work bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary practice. She also conducts workshops and performs rituals in the Chicago area. Alex Raby is a Hoosier-born, NYC-based actor and narrator. A former library munchkin, her love for immersive stories took her into the world of theater and onto an MFA in acting at UC Irvine, where she trained extensively in Fitzmaurice Voicework and Knight-Thompson Speechwork while playing an assortment of doctors, maids, and warrior queens. Due to a childhood spent wrangling younger brothers, Alex thrives at whip-smart and feisty characters amidst the worlds of rom-coms, fantasy, and historical fiction, and loves telling stories about women in STEM. Off the page, Alex loves teaching herself Polish, wandering the international grocery stores of NYC, and counting all the pugs she sees while strolling through her neighborhood. Fio Gede Parma is a Balinese-Australian nonbinary witch, international teacher, and magical mentor. Fio is a cofounder of the Coven of the Wildwood and a midwife of the Wildwood Tradition.
