Reviews

This is a very enjoyable book for many reasons. Perhaps the main reasons are the very beautiful sketches of interesting scenes around the world, many well known but represented in a unique vision. Beyond that, it is a delightful narrative of an artist's passion for art, technique, travel, history, culture and people. Dick Gerstman gives us details we rarely get from an artist about his art, including very clear instructions on how to sketch as well as how he went about sketching his subjects with interesting details about the scenes and the situations he encountered. The book can inspire anyone to sketch while they travel, and see things from a different perspective . E. Szylinski This book has become the best gift I can give to my traveling friends! Ronda Gates Easy to follow the instructions, and lots of color illustrations. David P Jenkins
