Lister, a Research Associate at the Arizona State Museum, is a magna cum laude graduate in anthropology from the University of New Mexico. She has conducted technical analyses of archaeological ceramics from the American Southwest, Mexico, and the Republic of the Sudan, has carried on extensive graduate work in art history, and has authored many reports on ancient pottery. Robert H. Lister, whose Ph.D. degree in anthropology is from Harvard University, from 1947 to 1971 served in the Department of Anthropology, University of Colorado, as Professor and intermittently as Chairman, and subsequently as Professor of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico.
