Overview

This album contains six short pieces written for players of about Grade 4 in standard. The composer has tried to make the solo part interesting in itself to practise, and he has incorporated plenty of rests for breathing. He has also kept the piano accompaniment as simple as possible. These pieces have been written with the specific requirements in mind i.e. grading, technique etc.

Reviews

'This is an excellent set of original pieces for introducing beginners to the pleasures of performing with piano. The movements are attractive works which stand singly, or in groups... In playing these pieces, the young player will be developing skills in musical expression, styles of articulation, attention to key signatures and accidentals, simple rhythmic hurdles, etc... A highly recommended work.' The Horn Call '... the horn part will allow most second year students to shine. For them and their usual audience this publication can be recommended.'
