This book is meant to be savored. Sip on a chapter, contemplate, let it float around your subconscious and discover the truth of the lesson in your soul. It's reminiscent of Dr. Wayne Dyer's Change Your Thoughts--Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao with the difference being that Sitting on the Toolbox uses stories to slide the lesson under the subconscious. --MIKI STRONG, Creator, PERSONA Branding Archetypes Turn to any page and you'll find a relevant question, a real-life example, an entertaining story, or a mindful Buddhist practice that could change your life. That's the simple magic of this wonderful book. While it's easy to pick up, it's hard to put down. Keep this literal loving-kindness toolbox nearby. That way, you can open it and grab profound wisdom and practical advice to fill you with joy at any time. --MARY GUSTAFSON, Author, My Wish: The Story of a Man Who Brought Happiness to America Sitting on the Toolbox by Venerable Bhante Sujatha and Stacey Stern is full of deep wisdom from a spiritual master. You can feel compassion, warmth, and ease coming off the page. But what makes this book so special is how down-to-earth the teachings are. Bhante meets his readers and students at our level. This is a beautiful book. --BRAD WETZLER, Journalist, Author, and Founder, Yoga of Writing Sitting on the Toolbox is a treasure chest of uplifting, compassionate, and practical wisdom I was able to apply immediately to practice loving-kindness to others--and myself. Through captivating stories and brilliant analogies, I was brought to laughter and tears on the path to discovering the beauty in everything, even while being aware of the pain. Sitting on the Toolbox is definitely going into my personal toolbox of guides to living a joyful life. --MARIAN HEAD, Author, Revolutionary Agreements: A Personal Path to Peace on Earth This monk has taught me one thing above all others. Do not bother learning any wisdom from any of the great wisdom teachers unless you commit to putting that wisdom into your daily actions. Make wisdom visible, palpable, like a garland draped all over your life. Sitting on the Toolbox is a simple and straightforward instruction manual, a how-to on applying wisdom to make your world, thereby the whole world, better. Make this your morning devotional . . . take one tool and use it every day. If you do, I guarantee sturdy happiness as a result. --TYLER LEWKE, President, Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple, and Author, Empty, Empty. Happy, Happy: The Essential Teachings of a Simple Monk
