Description In a world quite similar to ours, 2 ordinary schools girls get tangled up in a world they had never noticed before. Patricia Stevens and Kelly Miranova are just 2 of hundreds of teenagers in Oxfordshire preparing for their GCSE exams when one of their friends is nearly abducted gives them the impetus to defy their parents' and teachers' advice and chase after those responsible. However, if you go looking for trouble, you'll find it and Patricia finds herself on the verge of being kidnapped when she's saved by a mysterious shadow. From that point on, they discover other friends who are being targeted by The Darkness, a subset of the criminal underworld, and with the added support of their mysterious shadow, they seek to protect their friends and community. But who is Murasaki and what are her real intentions? There's a fine line between the brave and the foolish and these teenagers were to learn the difference the hardest way.
