Sirens & Scoundrels

Overview

This sexy, screwball tale of mayhem and lust on the high seas is yet another decidedly adult tale, set in a rollicking pirate adventure genre with an enemies-to-lovers plot. The dread pirate Knox kidnaps Duke Argo's daughter, Ravenna, and demands all the Duke's treasure as ransom. Argo charges his daughter's fiancee - the Royal Navy Captain Ozymandias - to save his daughter and to destroy the pirate once and for all. His reward will be Ravenna's hand and half the dukedom. In a fierce sea battle, both the pirate and the captain lose their ships, and are marooned with only a few men on opposite sides of an island ruled by the monstrous lizard-man Kalakuta. Captain Oz, as he is known to his men, must find the ""Noxious"" pirate Knox to free his love, but the journey is rife with dangers both deadly and arousing, and the horrific monster pursues them relentlessly, killing the crew off one by one. It doesn't help that the captain is a supercilious fop who hates to get his hands dirty, and the pirate is a dashing, sexy hunk of a man who captures the young lady's fancy. Throw in a a pair of twin, talking monkeys and a mermaid who seduces the captain and is now with child, or fish, or whatever, and you have a swashbuckling, fantasy romp that alternately tickles the funny bone and the libido. Will Oz save his future wife, defeat the beast, and capture Knox? If he does, how will they make it back home with no ship?

Author Information

Since I was a kid, I've loved creating comic parodies of famous stories and movies, songs, TV shows and popular culture overall. My high school buddies and I competed to crack each other up with intricate satire, farce, and takeoffs of anything and everything. We created fake album covers, substituting fellow students for the artists, with sendups of the song titles, lyrics and liner notes. We wrote and recorded audio sketch comedies and created a fake religion complete with evangelical tract books and prayers. So, I get immense pleasure from writing the Tales from the Quaquaverse novels. Each is an entirely new world with all new characters rendered as comic parodies of famous novel genres - High Fantasy, Pirate Romance, Space Opera, Detective Noir - with many more in the works. The common thread will be fierce and sexy female leads, comedy high and low, and steamy, explicit romance. I call them fantasy sex comedies. My old school pals would love them. Hope you do too.
