Shamim Rupani, much like Samrina, loves creating art projects and baking cookies in her home state of Texas. Shamim discovered her love of working with children during her time as a preschool teacher, but she also noticed there was a lack of diversity in books being read in the classroom. Shamim is excited to share her story of growing up as a mixed kid and hopes that it inspires other children to be proud of who they are.
