Reviews

Inspired by direct encounter with Mary the Mother of Jesus, resulting in a physical healing, Dr. Prothero guides us through Gospel, apocryphal, patristic, and contemporary explorations of Mary. In the spirit of Ignatian spirituality, he uses his own imagination to envision an interpretive midrash of Mary's life. This book is a welcome resource for interreligious dialogue on Mary, the Mother of Jesus. --Brad Karelius, Reverend Canon Professor, Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles
