Overview

Simply Good Worksheets for Physics 2 is a companion volume to Simply Good Physics 2: Electricity, Magnetism, and Waves, by the same author. Together they comprise a complete second semester course incollege physics without calculus. This offers the student and the college teacher a low-cost, light-weight alternative to the bloated tomes of major textbook houses. This workbook covers all the basic ideas of electricity, magnetism, and lightwavephenomena. Each chapter and sectionstarts with a brief summary of the variables, equations, and principles which will be exploredin the following packet of worksheets. Theworkbook is tutorial, building up to more complicated questions by leading the student througha page or so of intermediate calculations. There is an abundance of illustrations and diagrams, to help students visualize what the words are about. Many problems exercise proportional reasoning, which is a powerful shortcut to problem-solving. The workbook gives current technology and natural phenomena as examples, so students may relate the coursework to their everyday lives and careers. Answers to problems appear in an upside-down footnote at thebottom of each worksheet. Simply Good Worksheets have been written, tested, and revised by two Physics Professors over the course of many years and classes of community college students. The workbook even provides some sample quizzes, so students havean idea of what professors' expectations may typically be in assessment.
