Overview

Simon versus Simon is the coming-of-age story of Lucius, a wealthy young citizen of Rome with a rebellious edge, whose father sends him away to apprentice as a carpenter in Judea. His father intends that the hard work teach Lucius a lesson. Instead, Lucius meets James, who becomes his mentor, teaches him about Christianity, and who takes him on a mission across the Mediterranean. Most importantly, Lucius witnesses the conflict between two important figures vying for spiritual control of the 1st century; Simon Peter and Simon Magus.
