This scripture was engraved in my heart from a young age. I was taught that if I prayed with faith, God would grant what I asked. And so I asked. I prayed. I believed. But what I fervently prayed for never came to pass. Instead, it was lost, and with that loss began the darkest journey I have ever traveled. A journey that tested my faith, strained my marriage, shook my trust in God, and pushed my mental strength to its limits.
