Overview

The steamy bayou country of Louisiana's DeSoto Parish wasn't the kind of place where one would expect to find a covert government program quietly working without anyone being aware of it. But for the Washington handlers, that was exactly the point. Their secret program was hidden in plain sight where no investigative journalist would ever think to look. None of the politicians would ever accept responsibility for 'Silent Storm.' It was, after all, at least immoral, likely unethical, and possibly illegal. That is not to mention, quite deadly. Like the rest of DeSoto Parish, Mansville was, for the most part, a quiet town. About the only excitement there on a Saturday night was to ride over to the Food Giant and watch the stock crew unload the grocery truck. That is until one of the Parish's less than notable residents was slaughtered, in what seemed to be a senseless violent act of murder. The death triggers a chain of events, putting 'Silent Storm, ' in motion and sets three very different families' lives on an ever quickening collision course. The first death wouldn't be the last, nor would it be the least violent. The shock waves from Silent Storm reached all the way to Washington, D.C. shaking the very halls of justice.
