Silent Echoes

Overview

A collection of poems that flows sincerely from the heart and mind, capturing raw emotion and thoughtful insight. It reflects upon societal issues, inner conflicts, the bittersweet essence of love, the warmth of friendship, the beauty of nature, the unforgettable memories and the simple joys of life in the countryside. Each poem is a glimpse into the thoughts and feelings, a way to express what often remains unspoken. Writing this collection has been a personal challenge: a journey to explore my own emotions, to push the boundaries of my creativity, and to see how far I can go in the process of writing.

Author Information

Born and brought up in Meghalaya, a beautiful and mystical state of northeastern India, Rumaya Danggo grew up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural traditions. She finds joy in small, simple moments and in the gentle rhythms of everyday life. Writing is her refuge, a way to give voice to thoughts she cannot keep inside. Untrained and untethered, she writes for herself and for anyone who might quietly recognise pieces of their own heart in her words. She observes life with tenderness turning fleeting moments, emotions, and encounters into words.
