OverviewWhen love, rivalry, and revenge collide, no one walks away unscarred. No matter how hard Harper tries to build her suburban American dream with doting Doctor Applebee, how many therapists she sees, or how many pills she swallows, she can't escape the question she shouldn't even be asking. What if she's not crazy, what if the ghost is real? On the cusp of engagement to the man who offers her everything, she lies to him, planning a trip to Britain to return to the one place she's locked out of, her past. Six years earlier, Alsie takes a road trip with her best friend Poppy where they meet a free-spirited hitchhiker named Harper on her way to a Hollywood party, where all their lives change forever. Chasing her dream to lift the winner's plate at Wimbledon and prove she's more than the ""angry foster kid"", Alsie won't let anything stand in her way. Well, except a rooftop kiss with the handsome boy next door who happens to be her tennis rival. The car crashes, the stories collide, and a dark vendetta comes into play, leaving two women lost, desperately searching for a truth they can only find in each other. Two heart-breaking romances. One fatal crash. And a twist that will change everything. It's colouring a picture in your mind and stepping in, styling the path ahead as you go. From a young age I have written, whether it was binding my own stories in primary school or writing letters for my favourite magazines. As a retired sprinter, mum and sports therapist BSc I found my way back to my favourite pursuit - story telling; inspired by the life I lead and the people I've got to know along the way. My favourite books are Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte) and A Court Of Mist And Fury (SJ Maas). I adore epic love stories that have you kicking your feet and stinging your eyes fighting sleep. Books that I always recommend people read (after my own of course), are Fluke (James Herbert) and Never Let Me Go (Kazuo Ishiguro) because they still make me stare into space pondering life. Although women are better represented in the media these days, as a survivor of trauma I felt that stereotypes were overplayed and real women's stories diluted. It's important for me to show all the colours of my characters and provide plot lines real people can identify with. All packaged in the stories I love to read - romances. I never thought I could write a book, let alone several. But I am so glad I sat down and started typing, and I am so grateful you are here reading this.
