OverviewSift Me Through is a poetry and prose collection exploring grief, longing, healing, and transformation. Written during the pandemic and shaped by experiences with chronic illness and traumatic brain injuries, Signe Damron reflects on vulnerability, resilience, memory, identity, and the quiet process of becoming. Both intimate and atmospheric, this collection examines the beauty and ugliness woven through growth, while inviting readers to move with life's shifting seasons rather than against them. She teeters on virtual mountaintops, during literal treks, weighing vulnerability against the risk of standing still, shrinking. Each poem is a stepping-off point on the journey as Damron contemplates the past that led to this first step, and what is needed to take the second. The prose also leaves breathing space to just appreciate the small moments before facing the next phase of movement. This is a collection about the pacing of growth and living. It's about longing, not the kind that stifles, but the kind of longing that leads the poet to action and possibility."" - Ty J.
