Sift Me Through

Overview

Sift Me Through is a poetry and prose collection exploring grief, longing, healing, and transformation. Written during the pandemic and shaped by experiences with chronic illness and traumatic brain injuries, Signe Damron reflects on vulnerability, resilience, memory, identity, and the quiet process of becoming. Both intimate and atmospheric, this collection examines the beauty and ugliness woven through growth, while inviting readers to move with life's shifting seasons rather than against them. A standalone collection and an extension of French Door to Foyer.

Author Information

Signe Damron is a poet, writer and the founder of Signe-ture Publishing, a micro-press based in Columbus, Ohio. It is focused on original literary work and collaborative, cross-disciplinary projects. Her publications include French Door to Foyer and Coalescence: A Holiday Collection, a multi-author, multi-genre anthology. Her work extends beyond the page through community- based literary programs, including a monthly writers group and a 7-week writers roundtable. She is a recipient of the Greater Columbus Arts Council Artist Excellence Award and grant. Outside of her writing and publishing practice, she coaches and volunteers with Special Olympics, and is often in search of a good meal, good conversation or other art forms that shift how she sees the world. Marcus is a self-taught mixed media visual artist and digital illustrator born in Cincinnati, Ohio, raised in Rochester, New York, and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio. His interests, rooted in storytelling traditions and focused on the creation of expressionistic abstracted and figurative images, explore and depict themes and ideas of Afro Surrealism, mythology/ folklore, dreams, symbolism, and social commentary. His works have been featured in a variety of exhibitions and publications. Currently represented by The Halley Gallery of New Albany, Ohio, Marcus is a self-described comic book nerd, a skilled but disgruntled ex-musician, a fledgling would-be poet, and the proud father of his two adult sons.
