He was born in 1943 in Newton, MA and lived there till leaving for a Catholic seminary in Chicago in 1960. Upon leaving the seminary he enrolled in a Jesuit college in the Mid-west and eventually graduated in 1965 with a BA in philosophy and minors in English and Communication Arts. Brian came down with full blown schizophrenia in 1969 and eventually recovered after several harrowing years in 1979. He became VP of the family metal working manufacturing business in Baltimore in 1980 and at one point ran the company for 1-1/2 years. It is his deep desire that his story will help catalyze new methods of treatment using comprehensive diagnostics that search for biochemical and allergenic abnormalities for those suffering from schizophrenia and other chronic mental illnesses.
