Overview

This grand homage to space opera, Herbert's Dune, and Dr. Zhivago, is the brain child of new writer and up and coming, and attempting to be literary giant, Devin. B. Reese. Reese crafts a nostalgic science fiction fantasy adventure, integrating ideas from the contemporary world. When Mikhail Orance, (his name a thinly veiled allusion to Lawrence of Arabia, ) a fairly stable but introverted military man from a military planet, a planet of ""Perpetual Spring,"" gets his whole universe turned upside down, he gets involved with the local uprising on the frozen planet Siberia, which turns about to be far more important and chaotic than he first bargained for. In fact, the whole universe itself gets turned upside down, as he gets swept up in historical events, an environmentalist green revolution, and stunning thrills on a ""Planet of Perpetual Snow."" Green, white and the red of blood form a huge tapestry, upon which is played a fantastic drama, where the politics of today is filtered through an allegory which turns everything upside down!
