Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is the most revered and worshipped holy person in India and abroad. He is the embodiment of the Supreme Spirit. He is the Jagad Guru the preceptor of the whole world. Shri Sai Satcharita is an invaluable treasure house of teachings for the entire humankind. If we study the text with devotion and humility, the hidden meanings in the book will become clear. We will realise that our sole purpose should be to try to achieve the real aim of life union with the Paramatman. In this book I have selected some key concepts from the philosophical teachings in Shri Sai Satcharita. Each concept is based on incidents and devotees experiences with Shri Sai Baba. I have interpreted these based on my readings of the other holy texts. But whatever I have tried to assimilate and present is only a tiny portion from the vast ocean of knowledge in Shri Sai Satcharita. I hope this humble endeavour will help devotees and other pious people to approach the Shri Sai Satcharita with devotion and understanding and gain the full benefit from it.

Dr. Anitha D. was born in Chirayinkeezhu Taluk of Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala. She did her MBBS from Medical College, Thrissur, and DGO and DNB from Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. During her postgraduation, she came under the influence of Shri Shirdi Sai Babas teachings. She read the Shri Sai Satcharita translated by Indira Kher and Zarine many times and had the desire to translate it into her mother tongue, Malayalam. By Babas grace she could complete that task and her translation was published by the Shirdi Sansthan. Through her study of Shri Gurucharitra, Bhagavathapuranam, Yoga Vasishta, Thripurarahsyam, Dasabodha, Jnaneswari, Devi Mahatmyam and Viveka Chudamani, she gained deep insights which enabled her to understand and extract the subtle teachings in Shri Sai Satcharita. This book is the result of her efforts. Dr. Anitha D. is a practising obstetrician and gynaecologist in the Middle East.
