Overview

Children who have low self-confidence, a negative attitude towards school, score below average on assessments of language comprehension, and have erratic pattern of errors with no specific linguistic weaknesses on assessments of comprehension, may be suffering from short-term memory difficulties. Author Information

Joanne Rudland trained at DeMonfort University Leicester and qualified as a Speech Language Therapist in 1996. With a career that began in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Joanne is currently employed by Hambleton Richmondshire NHS Primary Care Trust in North Yorkshire. As a community based clinician for the children's speech language therapy service, Joanne holds an additional post as a developing specialist in paediatric dysfluency.
