Overview

The battered, snow-covered body of a woman is found on the banks of the Ottawa River, across from the Parliament Buildings, launching a complex investigation led by Sergeant John Bass and Coroner Gen Simone. The story of SKHI evolved from a career working closely with Indigenous communities and all levels of government, his concerns about climate change and Canadian colonialism, his curiosity about history, race, and government, and his constant pursuit of truth and justice. He enjoys many pastimes on land and water, including sailing, golfing, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, and birding. He lives in London, Ontario with his wife, Gloria.
