Author Information

S.C. Panda is a member of the Indian Administrative Service (Assam-Meghalaya cadre) OF 1981 Batch. He is a Post Graduate in Political Science from Utkal University, Odisha, sis his M.Phil in Public Administration from Punjab University, and MBA (Public Services) from the University of Birmingham, UK. Prior to joining the IAS, he was in IPS (Uttar Predesh cadre) and received the President's Gold Medal for his brilliant performance during training at the National Civil Defence College, Nagpur. He was awarded the President's Silver Medal for his outstanding performance as DC, Karimgani, Assam. At present he is posted in the Ministry of Home Affairs as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser. He is associated with the Sai movement since 1995 and under the inspiration of revered Guruji Shri C.B. Satpathy, he was involved in the construction of Shirdi Sai temple at Tankapani raod, Bhubaneshwar. He has been regularly contributing articles on Shirdi Sai Baba to Odia and English magazines and has authored two books 'Shiridara Sai Baba' and 'Sai Sandesh in Odia'. Smita Panda did her Graduation in Economics from BJB College, Bhubaneshwar and her Post Graduation in Analytical and Applied Economics and Ph.D from Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar. She is a member of Odisha Education Service and has taught Economics in different colleges in Odisha. She is associated with the Sai movement and has been contributing articles in Sai journals since 1995.
