Overview

The rich history of the P&O Line began in the 1830s and this fascinating book explores the underwater resting places of its ships. Sam Warwick and Mike Roussel include a detailed history of each vessel leading up to the time of its loss, including the Salsette, Moldavia and Oceana, and thoroughly investigate the events surrounding the wrecking of each vessel with unique accounts from divers who have explored the wreck, along with unpublished underwater images. AUTHORS: Sam Warwick's grandfather was first master of QE2, and his father was a master of QE2 and first master of QM2. Sam has spent much of his life at sea, including wreck diving all over the world, logging over 1,000 dives. As well as working in the IT business, he has run the site www.qe2.org.uk since 1995. He has previously written Shipwrecks of the Cunard Line for The History Press. He lives in Australia. SAM WARWICK is the son of Ronald W. Warwick, a past Master of QE2, and is an established maritime author. The QE2 has played a major part in his life since childhood and he has been a regular passenger on the ship. MIKE ROUSSEL has previously written Spitfire’s Forgotten Designer: The Career of Supermarine’s Joe Smith for The History Press, as well as co-authoring Shipwrecks of the Cunard Line and The Union-Castle Line. He is an active supporter of Solent Sky Aviation Museum. He lives in Southampton
