Overview

This is a poetry collection that I wrote in my creative writing class. I remember trying to think of a theme for this collection, something the poems have in common. The more poems I wrote, the more I began to realise: the theme is me. All of these poems represent parts of myself and my experiences. These are the poems that help me get up in the morning. They help me cope. They help me move past what I was and towards who I will be. In my darkest times I turned to poetry and I hope that with these poems I may find others like me and give them the hope that the poems I read gave me. In the colorful world of poetry it is a wonder how poems can be twisted and applied to many different circumstances. I hope that my poems may be interpreted in whatever ways are needed the most to the reader.
