OverviewOn November 11, 1918, at the 11th hour, the sword is finally sheathed. As 1918 starts, the October Revolution has finally taken the Russians out of the war. Spring would be a bloody one as the German divisions from the Russian Front arrive in France. Brigadier-General Llewellyn and Captain Ryan rested their blades during the German spring offensive. But during the hot summer and the last hundred days, they would be in the thick of battle. Matron Samantha Lonsdale is back in France. The stationary hospitals in the rear are no protection from the German artillery and aerial bombs as she and her nursing sisters care for the wounded in the final days of the war. On the home front, in the cut and thrust of politics, Prime Minister Borden keeps his promise to impose conscription. As the war nears its end, in the midst of a flu pandemic ravaging Canada, he fights with the British and the Americans to get a seat at the peace table. A seat paid in Canadian blood. The blade is finally slid into its scabbard. But for how long will it remain sheathed?
