She Was Here, and Her Eyes Were Brown

Overview

She Was Here, and Her Eyes Were Brown is a poetry collection by Alicia Marchetti, written for Hazel Brown. Alicia wrote this book after years apart, despite uncertainty and the fear of rejection, approaching it with vulnerability and without apology. The work reveals the author's longing, memory, and devotion to a single person. This collection is a deliberate gesture for the person the author calls Hazel Brown. It was written without expectation but full of hope.
