"John Leone is the author of three series of children's books. The series (Sharklock Bones) are based loosely on Sherlock Holmes. Children enjoy the story and puns and adults ""get"" the frequent references to the music and events of the 60s, 70s and 80s. ""What's unique about these series of books is that they're full of humor for kids and adults (similar to the Looney Tune cartoons of old). Hopefully, the children will also pick up learning a bit about ocean ecology, the history of our beach towns and American history."" John has also written ""Us Guys: the Army, the 60's"" about friendships forged while in the service and has just published a comedy taking place in the 60's called ""Memory Lane: the 60's.""
