OverviewThis book is a compilation of information about my father's life which began March 11, 1921 at Clydach on Tawe, Glamorgan, Wales, soon followed by immigrant life in Toronto and growing up in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. His father's death in 1939 led to Cliff's early employment at General Motors and WWII interrupted his budding hockey fame when he joined the RCOC to serve overseas. Post war he married Dorothy Auld, had 3 daughters and enjoyed a successful career in automotive product sales. His happy life at Preston, Ontario ended far too soon in an accidental automobile death February 27, 1957 near Windsor Ontario. With a collection of photos, letters, news clippings, school reports, and family memories I have used on-line document searches to confirm, connect and extend my knowledge. I hope that family and friends will find this book to be an informative record and a delightful read about the life of my cherished father, Clifford Ley Herbert Hinton.
