Corrigan, PsyD, is Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently principal investigator of the Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research, a consolidated group of four grant-funded programs on disability and health. Among other things, he is principal investigator of projects examining integrated primary and behavioral health care in a health disparities framework currently funded by NIMHD and PCORI. Corrigan has written more than 450 peer-reviewed articles, is editor emeritus of the American Journal of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and editor of a journal published by the American Psychological Association (APA) called Stigma and Health. Corrigan has co-authored or co-edited more than twenty books including several for APA: “Person-Centered Care for Mental Illness” (in 2015) and “Recovery in Mental Illness” in 2005. He is 2016 recipient of the APF Alexander Gralnick award for his research on services for people with serious mental illness as well as the APA 2022 Award for Distinguished Contribution to Psychology in the Public Interest.
