She has volunteered in several non profit organizations, and has written this book with Shannon to hopefully motivate other young people to get involved in volunteering to make a difference for those in need. Diane has two daughters who live in Mexico and Alaska, and has five grandchildren. Shannon started raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind in third grade and continued through high school. Her family continues to raise guide dog puppies, and Shannon hopes to return to raising after college. Being the daughter of a veterinarian, Shannon was thrilled to find a project where she could combine her love for animals and passion for community service.
