Parkinson's Disease. Young onset occurs before a patient reaches fifty years of age. Colin Turner was forty-nine when he got his diagnosis. Symptoms of his condition were life-long attributes, even so. He's an artist, an author and, usually, the quietest guy in the room. It kept his journey, however bizarre, mostly metaphorical. So when his doctor mentioned Deep Brain Stimulation -- two electrodes in your skull, a control module in your chest and a cable tunneled in between them -- he imagined, if anything, only a small improvement. The outcome of installing his hardware, to the contrary, shocked everybody involved. Will it reveal a new way forward or simply become another in a series of odd events?
