Overview

His personal life in shambles, American diplomat, Tom Morgan, doesn't need the complications of a new woman in his life. It's 1986 and, as the war in Afghanistan rages against the Soviet occupiers, neighboring Pakistan has become a launch point for clandestine CIA and MI6 missions to assist the Mujahideen's resistance. To ease his loneliness, Tom ventures farther into an international community tainted by intrigue supporting both sides of the fighting across the border. Battle lines in Afghanistan have become part of a cold war within Islamabad's small diplomatic enclave, where Pakistan's intelligence service has a stake in all aspects of the conflict. Tom struggles to distinguish friends from foes, emotions from obligations. Caught within layers of subterfuge, choosing between them could seal his fate.
