OverviewThese drawings were made on my first visit to one of Scotland's tiniest islands. The tracings are of the actual stones, done very carefully so as to not mark their surface, turned over and around to mark the shadows they cast on the white paper. Each worked stone had a unique quality and form as I danced them around the paper in sun and shadow. The choreography is unedited. I jotted some thoughts down on the backs of the drawings which I have edited slightly to help the viewer see/understand more of this day's work. Perhaps, it is poetry.
