Overview

A secret society. A shattered alliance. A love that defies fate. After surviving war, betrayal, and an assassination attempt, Lord Peregrine Fitzroy has been pressed into service as a double agent-caught between the Queen and a shadowy organisation threatening to bring England to its knees. His only advantage? The sharp mind and shrewd instincts he once learned to hide from the ton. Charity, Duchess Atholl, thought she'd sacrificed everything to save Peregrine's life. Instead, her bargain with the Queen has cost her his trust-and broken her own heart. Now forced to work together, the pair must navigate the treacherous corridors of court, where every whisper could mask a spy, and every smile could hide a traitor. As a royal wedding draws near, scandals erupt, alliances shift, and a saboteur circles ever closer. But amid the splendour of the crown lies a web of lies and vengeance-and only Peregrine and Charity can stop it before it upends the future of England.

Author Information

Lynn Morrison lives in Oxford, England along with her husband, two daughters and two cats. Born and raised in Mississippi, her wanderlust attitude has led her to live in California, Italy, France, the UK, and the Netherlands. Despite having rubbed shoulders with presidential candidates and members of parliament, night-clubbed in Geneva and Prague, explored Japanese temples and scrambled through Roman ruins, Lynn's real life adventures can't compete with the stories in her mind. She is as passionate about reading as she is writing, and can almost always be found with a book in hand. As an American Expat living in Ontario with a husband and teen son, Anne Radcliffe spends a lot of time editing or writing in order to avoid having to become a Maple Leafs fan. Anne loves a great story no matter the genre or medium - books, graphic novels, TV, movies or video games.
