OverviewWhen we are born, we are designated as ""boy"" or ""girl"" based on our anatomical genital evidence. However, this seemingly trivial fact is called into question when an intersex child is born, showing that certainties regarding sex can be quite fragile. If a person's sex cannot be defined based on their anatomy, do they not exist? After all, what makes someone a man or a woman? These and other concerns arose from listening to children and adolescents diagnosed with Disorders of Sex Development. In this work, we chose the incomplete truth addressed by psychoanalysis to guide an investigation into the subject's attempts to engender knowledge about sex based on the naming of bodies. We concluded that giving a name to a body does not erase the enigmas it may unfold, but only gives rise to a SEX CHISTER.
