OverviewCOVID-19 has been a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic that the author, given his appreciation of writing, analysis, and theology, could not allow to occur without some response. Seven Sundays is his personal contribution to the Church and the academy, while evaluating COVID's initial impact on his family, church, nation, and world. From Seven Sundays: It's true that it seems like days begin to blend especially during times of restriction. But for those of us who have and love Jesus, one day stands out. We know when it's Sunday. As the virus was impacting our lives with each passing day...anxiety, caution, nervousness, unanswered questions, and, yes, a sense of fear was emerging, especially fear of the unknown. As I came up the flight of stairs outside of the church offices and entered the balcony in preparation for our third Sunday on the improvised 'set, ' I could not fully articulate...the sense of 'sanctuary emptiness' in the air. It was obvious and ominous that this virus...was one that would seek to take our breath away, not just metaphorically, but literally.
